Hello everyone. I am sharing this message as it feels pertinent to the energies I'm perceiving at the moment. Spiritual leaders, you are the harbingers of collective expansion. Many of you are holding the torch for those who are either awakening now or will be awakening in the future. Many of you are also leading the way for the younger generations, guiding them as they grow into adults who are hopefully conscious of themselves and attuned to the energies of Life however they may manifest. Because of this, being solid and aligned with your truth is of great importance.
Algorithms, Alignment and Authenticity
What I am noticing is a large group of spiritual leaders or people who are passionate about spirituality becoming tangled up in the web of social media expectation. People are doing their best to please the so called "algorithm gods" by following the social media rules. They try to post everyday, try to post with specific music and post according to what will promote their product or brand in the best way.
But we must be careful of allowing ourselves to become restricted in our creative expression for the sake of being seen and validated as a social media figure. I do not say this lightly, as I understand why people are conducting themselves in this way. I've been there. People may fear that if they do not play by the rules and serve the algorithm gods in the way they're told, that they'll disappear, become irrelevant and their work won't sustain them the way they want it to. What I want you to chew on are these questions:
Who or what are you allowing to determine your worth and value?
If you are a spiritual being and your heart's work is an expression of the Divine working through you, can your work truly be limited by the unspoken rules and expectations of social media?
Who or what is your true source of abundance?
Just to give my two cents on the answers to these questions, I feel you must know that,
YOU are the one who determines your core worth and value. Not other people, not Instagram, not Facebook. People can have an opinion of how valuable you or your work is to them, but being in touch with your core beliefs about yourself is essential.
Be careful of allowing social media to stifle your creative expression and throw off your attunement to yourself. What you desire to share with the world will inevitably occur regardless of social media rules and expectations but you must be aligned with your truth for this to happen.
Life, God, Creator, etc is the source of abundance and this is inherent within you as an extension of this energy. This abundance will always be expressed through other people but they act as channels, not sources of the abundance.
As people who are serving as potential leaders, changemakers and ground shakers, two of the most important things to keep in mind are your alignment and your authenticity. Alignment with your heart, soul and higher self is cultivated through attuning to your feelings, emotions and intuitive perceptions. But this must be relevant to every area of your life...including social media and how you share yourself. When you allow other people and systems to determine how you share yourself, you inadvertently give up your power to them and as a result, sacrifice your connection to your intuition. Your authenticity has a special relationship with your alignment as they piggyback off of each other. You being able to show up in the world as you are is vital because no one can be you and the impact you will have is unlike the impact of anyone else.
So I say now as an offering of support, spiritual leaders, do not allow algorithms to make you lose sight of who you are. I know that technically, the deeper root of the problem is not the algorithms themselves, but our collective wounds associated with being seen, being validated as well as our wounds around value as it relates to receiving abundance. I'll also clarify that there's nothing wrong with wanting to be seen and wanting to have people around you that appreciate you and who you are...but what are you sacrificing in order to be seen and appreciated?
When You Feel the Pressure
When you start to feel the pressure of social media obligation, I challenge you to go deeper into your feelings as opposed to disconnecting from yourself and conceding to the pressure by going against your feelings. Behind that pressure is fear. When it comes up, take a step back and drop into the sensations. After spending some time marinating in the sensations and emotions, you may want to ask yourself some questions such as, "Why do I feel pressured to please people/systems in this way?", "What do I feel will happen if I don't meet social media expectations?" Since many people fear disappearing or not feeling validated, if this is where you find yourself, reflect on questions such as "What does it mean about me as a person if I don't get the views, likes or engagement that I want?" Who are you if the views, likes or engagement you want don't happen? Ask yourself what this means about you and how you see yourself as a person. Regardless of what may come up, keep in mind that social media does not determine your worth or value. You must determine that for yourself through your own self examination. You don't need fleeting engagement to prove to you that you are a worthy person.
Let's say your pressure is around increasing your reach so more people buy your product or services. If you're feeling pressure to follow the rules of social media because you want to make sure people see what you're offering and want people to take part in your course, class, program, etc., you must ask yourself what you are looking for. Are you looking for community? Financial stability? Growth as a leader? Any or all of that is fine, but I'll share something with you that may change the way you approach your work.
Authenticity, Alignment and Shifts in Reality
People that dedicate themselves to spiritual expansion may find themselves in an interesting predicament as a result of the collective changes unfolding on the planet as well as the personal growth that has been cultivated throughout the years. Remember that as you continue expanding, old systems and ways of approaching all aspects of your life will start to change or fall away completely. Little by little, you will find yourself becoming more in sync with the flow of life and how life truly is without all of humanity's manipulation and attempts to control how abundance shows up. Because of this, you may at some point find yourself in a reality where the tactics of marketing and "selling yourself" no longer work as they used to. This is happening for a few reasons. One, you are transcending the need for these systems as you will start to see that you are not a product to be bought and sold. As your awareness grows, you will start to be confronted with this truth. Two, the reality you are entering is going to align you with people who do not want to be convinced to buy things. This reality is based on alignment and authenticity.
People will want to work with you not because you convinced them to or because you put on a fake authenticity mask (It's very common for people to share personal stories for the purpose of appearing vulnerable so they get people to buy things). It will be because you are embodying your truth for its own sake. You are sharing who you are because you want to, because it brings you joy to do so. This is magnetic and all of life benefits when you show up in the world this way. Furthermore, if you offer paid services, you will call in people that find joy in paying you if charging feels right for you. You will attract interesting, creative opportunities for bringing in abundance because you trust yourself and the process and are open, receptive and in touch with your passions.
So if you find yourself in a position where you are feeling the pressure to promote, sell and market because you feel that's what you need to do, but are attracting experiences which cause you to feel like nothing is working or things aren't falling into place, what I said previously may be the reason. I've noticed that spiritual folks are trying really hard to hold onto these old systems because they don't know any other way to put themselves out there and call in their tribe. What I will tell you is that you will not call in your tribe or those you are meant to work with through forced marketing tactics. You will do so by remaining aligned with your heart, honoring your values, remaining centered in who you are and what you truly desire. People that are your soul family members will naturally gravitate to you and you'll build the world you want to live in together.
Furthermore, you will be well sustained because, in the reality you may be transitioning into, abundance is in every ounce of creation. This is technically always the case, but the more you grow in awareness, the more this truth starts to become apparent. Many people are being challenged in this area. Depending on your unique makeup and where you are on your journey, you may notice now or in the near future that you'll need to choose between your truth or your attachment to money, as many people sacrifice themselves to get paid. These challenges are occurring so you can see that by choosing yourself, you automatically align with abundance. Abundance is inherent within you! You just need to know this and become confident in this truth. Don't worry, Life will help you learn this lesson (side eyes lol).
What Does the Future Hold?
Finally, I will mention that I feel social media is on a downward trajectory. The energy of social media has been slowly dwindling and more people will start to realize how unhealthy our collective obsession with social media has become. What will come in the future, I am not sure. Will it mean more in person interactions? I don't know. But as I've said before, social media is the epitome of smoke and mirrors. It is not real life. Spend time being present with your body and your environment where you are. Touch the grass, take a walk, talk to some birds. Whatever you decide to do, let it be something that orients you to the moment and reality as it is now.
Much love,
Saiedah
